A few things are worth keeping in mind:
- Rules change. Governments update payment rates, dates and eligibility rules, sometimes with little notice. An article that was accurate when we published it may later be out of date.
- Estimates are not official figures. We sometimes report forecasts, such as an expected cost-of-living increase, before the official number is out. We label these clearly, but the final figure can be different.
- Examples are illustrations. When we work out what a change might mean in dollars or pounds, the numbers are examples only. Your actual payment may differ.
